University Merit / Aggregate Calculator
Calculate your university admission aggregate from matric, inter and entry test marks. Pre-loaded with NUST's 10/15/75 formula — adjustable for any university.
Your marks
Weightages (must add up to 100)
| Matric contribution | 0.00% |
| Inter contribution | 0.00% |
| Entry test contribution | 0.00% |
Defaults follow NUST's official 10/15/75 formula; adjust weightages for other universities. NUST uses HSSC Part-1 marks. Verified October 2026.
Enter your marks
Fill in obtained and total marks for matric, inter (HSSC Part-1 for NUST), and your entry test.
Check the weightages
NUST's formula is already set: 10% matric, 15% inter, 75% entry test. Change them for any other university.

How the NUST aggregate calculator works
Admission merit in Pakistani universities is not decided by a single exam — it is a weighted blend of your academic history. This aggregate calculator follows the NUST formula: 10% of matric + 15% of inter + 75% of the NET (NUST Entry Test). Because the entry test carries three-quarters of the weight, a strong NET score can make up for weaker board results, which is exactly how NUST designs its merit.
The aggregate formula explained
Each component is first converted to a percentage, then multiplied by its weightage:
Aggregate = (matric % x weightage) + (inter % x weightage) + (test % x weightage)
For example, with 990/1100 in matric (90%), 480/550 in inter (87.27%), and 150/200 in the NET (75%), the NUST aggregate is (90 x 0.10) + (87.27 x 0.15) + (75 x 0.75) = 9 + 13.09 + 56.25 = 78.34%.
Important notes on the NUST formula
- NUST uses HSSC Part-1 marks for the inter component, because admissions run before Part-2 results are out. Enter your Part-1 marks (total 550), not your full FSc.
- Weightages must add up to exactly 100. The calculator will warn you if they do not.
- Other universities use different formulas — for example 25/25/50 splits are common for ECAT and MDCAT-based admissions. Just edit the three weightage fields.
Using your aggregate
Compare your aggregate against the previous year's closing merit for your desired program. Closing merits shift every year with the applicant pool, so treat last year's numbers as a guide rather than a guarantee — aim 2-3 points above them for a comfortable margin.
